BREAKTHROUGH POSITIONING TECHNOLOGY
THAT MAKES THE IMPOSSIBLE A REALITY.
THE WORLD’S ONLY WIDE AREA
MILLIMETRE-LEVEL POSITIONING
TECHNOLOGY.
Quantum RTLS relies on several deep technological innovations which have generated over two dozen patents globally (and counting). Fundamentally, the technology is based on acoustic signaling, much like how bats use echolocation to navigate in the dark. This successful natural system inspired ZeroKey’s development of a highly engineered and robust technology. Unlike radio frequency signals which are prone to interference and attenuation from metallic objects and structures typical of industrial environments, acoustic signals are highly resilient in harsh industrial environments. ZeroKey’s proprietary patented modulation and signal processing techniques eliminate time synchronization and systematic errors common to other RTLS technologies, to provide clean, sub-millimetre ranging to the positioning engine.
By combining several simultaneous point-to-point measurements with some proprietary positioning algorithms, a true 3D millimetre accurate location can be determined. This process is commonly referred to as triangulation, though this name is a bit of misnomer and is more accurately called multilateration.
For the technically inclined, we have published several papers and patents available for download below.
With Quantum RTLS, deployment times can be measured in minutes by eliminating the complexity and system limitations of traditional RTLS’:
Rapidly accelerate your innovation and achieve substantially higher precision with Quantum RTLS today.
In addition to delivering hyper-accurate ultrasonic-based positioning, Quantum RTLS leverages the sensitivity of radio-frequency signals for continuous positioning even in obstructed conditions. All precise RTLS technologies require near line-of-sight visibility to a minimum of four anchor nodes to provide accurate positioning. If the mobile node is obstructed or buried, positioning fails, and your asset is invisible to the digital world. Quantum RTLS solves this problem by performing fallback positioning using Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) methods, similar to BLE-based RTLS systems. This hybrid approach results in a best-of-both worlds solution with an always available position, so that your assets can be located at all times.
Data security and integrity are paramount in all IoT applications and can be a challenge in industrial environments. The larger the area you need to protect, the more exposed it is to security breaches, and with a greater number of connected devices, there is a greater risk of exposure to advanced and persistent threats (APT).
To ensure industry-grade data integrity, ZeroKey sensors employ best-in-class security with an on-chip ARM® CryptoCell cryptographic accelerator. A wide range of ciphers and security features build solid security for all ZeroKey wireless devices, ensuring your data is never compromised.
Additionally, Quantum’s flexible data access makes any idea a breeze. Applications that require low latency with high data rates access spatial data directly from mobile nodes, while Enterprise applications leverage bidirectional integration using an open Web API of ZeroKey Extensions software service.
